Blocked Drains

Is Water Backing Up or Draining Away Slowly?

If your shower isn't draining, the toilet isn't flushing properly, the sink keeps blocking up, or there's a gurgle or a smell coming from the drains, there is usually a blockage somewhere in the line.

It won't clear on its own, and it gets worse. A drain that is slow today can end up backing up into the house, and once it's the sewer line, waste comes up through the lowest point, usually a shower or floor waste.

Clearing, CCTV & Repairs

We'll Find the Blockage and Get Your Drain Cleared

We come out, find where the drain is blocked and clear it, so you can use the house again.

We can then put a CCTV camera down the line to find out what caused the blockage, and tell you whether the drain just needed clearing or whether the pipe needs repairing.

We clear blocked sinks, showers, toilets, floor wastes and sewer lines across Melbourne's eastern suburbs, and we're available 24 hours if a drain has backed up inside. Contact us today for a free quote.

Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. Waste backing up into a shower, a toilet that will not clear or water surcharging out of a yard gully all count as emergencies, and we are available 24 hours for them. Call and describe what you are seeing and we will tell you what to stop using in the meantime and when we can get there.

  • Tree roots are the most common cause on established properties, because they find the moisture at a cracked or opened joint and grow into the pipe. After that it is wet wipes and sanitary products, cooking fat setting in the line, and sections of old pipe that have dropped out of alignment so waste no longer runs away cleanly.

  • That depends on why it blocked. If it was wipes or fat, clearing the line and changing what goes down it usually solves it. If roots are in the pipe they will grow back, so the useful step is a camera inspection straight after clearing, which shows whether you are looking at maintenance or a repair.

  • Not always. Plenty of blockages clear from an existing inspection point with no excavation at all. Where the pipe itself has failed, we locate the fault from the surface first and dig only over that section rather than following the line across the property.

  • The main factors are access to an inspection point, how far along the line the blockage sits, and whether the pipe turns out to be damaged. Clearing from an existing opening is at the lower end. You get a price before we start, and if the camera shows a repair is needed that is quoted separately so you can decide.

  • We work across Maroondah, the Yarra Ranges, Knox, Whitehorse, the Dandenong Ranges and Cardinia from Mooroolbark. Check the Areas We Serve page for the full suburb list, and if yours is not there, call and ask before assuming we cannot reach you.
