Frequently Asked Questions
Often, though narrow steep side streets do rule some things out. We look at access before quoting excavation so the price reflects how the job actually has to be done, rather than growing on the day.
Not a problem, just something that takes working out. Services added at different times rarely follow a logical pattern, so we trace what feeds what before starting rather than assuming.
Tree cover over drainage that is often original. Roots find any joint that has opened, and clearing the line only buys time until the pipe itself is dealt with.
Yes. Gas heating is common through the hills, and running, altering and repairing gas lines is licensed work that we carry out and certify.
Yes, we are available 24 hours. Our base is at the northern end of the ranges rather than back towards the city, which is what makes it realistic.
Around Upwey
Upwey is one of the Dandenong Ranges townships, and we cover the ones around it on the same terms.
If your street sits on the edge of Upwey and you are not sure, call and ask rather than assuming we cannot get there.
Plumbing, Drainage and Roof Services in Upwey
General Plumbing on Hills Properties
Homes in the hills have often been extended or altered over time, and the plumbing can reflect that, with services added at different stages. Working out what runs where is usually the first step on a repair.
We locate and repair leaking pipework in Upwey, renew water services where that is the better option, and handle tap, toilet and licensed gas work.

Where ground slopes toward a building, surface water as well as roof water needs somewhere deliberate to go, and a line that is undersized or partly blocked can show up as pooling after heavy rain.
We look at access before quoting excavation in Upwey, and handle clearing, camera inspection, locating, drain and sewer repairs and stormwater ourselves.

Where a unit sits in a difficult position on a hills property, replacement can involve more than the unit itself, and it is worth knowing that before committing.
We assess the unit, explain what has failed and price the repair and the replacement, and we are available 24 hours in Upwey for units leaking through a wall or ceiling.

Renovating in the ranges brings access into the picture alongside the plumbing itself. Getting materials in and waste out is worth planning at the start rather than discovering midway through.
We take that into account on Upwey renovations, and handle bathroom, kitchen and laundry plumbing from rough-in through to fit-off.

On sloping properties, roof water leaving a downpipe carries momentum, and where it is not directed deliberately it can end up against or beneath the building.
We trace leaks back to the entry point on Upwey homes, repair what we find and check the surrounding details while we are up there.

Urgent plumbing does not keep business hours, and the damage from a leak compounds the longer it runs.
We are contactable 24 hours for Upwey, and you will get a price before the repair starts rather than after it.
